The Clocks Say Spring…….

The sun is a forever changing star. Structures appear and disappear in what can seem like just a few minutes. The image to the right was taken on the 9th of March 2025 at 12:18 (GMT). It is the combination of 500 frame at 6ms per frame using a Lunt50Ha DS-Lunt60Ha. The image capture was done with a ASI 174 and captured using INDI Lib.

The large bright region in the middle of the images is sunspot 4012 and 4011. This complex of about 18 SunSpot has a Beta-Gamma Structure which is a bipolar sunspot group but complex enough so that no line can be drawn between spots of opposite polarity.
The Video collected was initially processed in ASi image stack software and the secondary processing done in IMPGG (compiled on Mac) and Pixinsight SolarTools

I decided to move a EAF to the focuser for simplification of the focusing as it is not easy to use a laptop or table in the bright sunshine
